ProLab Creatine Monohydrate, 1000 grams
Creatine is a natural substance found in the body that plays a very powerful role in energy metabolism. Oral supplementation of creatine monohydrate has been shown to increase the resynthesis of ATP (andenosine triphosphate) from ADP (andenosine diphosphate) during muscle contractions.
ATP is the molecule the muscle cells burn during muscle contraction. When the energy is released from the ATP molecule it drops off a phosphate, thus becoming ADP. Creatine combines with a phosphate molecule forming a phosphocreatine molecule which delivers the phosphate to the ADP molecule reforming ATP.
This resynthesized ATP molecule is then ready to be utilized for energy again. Because the body only stores an 8 - 12 second supply of ATP, it is very important to increase the creatine pool and maximize the ATP-ADP phosphate shuttle. The result is more explosive muscular contractions, increased stamina and endurance, greater intensity and less muscular fatigue which delivers more muscle size and strength.

What is Creatine?
Creatine is actually a nutrient found naturally in our bodies, and it's made from a combination of the three amino acids arginine, glycine and methionine. The main function of creatine is providing energy to your muscles for movements, especially quick and explosive movements. Your body gets its creatine from food and/or supplements. You can imagine then, that taking extra creatine monohydrate will help you out during workouts.

What is creatine serum?
In short, creatine serum or liquid creatine is just the liquid form of creatine monohydrate. So instead of ingesting a creatine powder, you're taking in a liquid solution of creatine. Liquid creatine claims to have the same benefits as powder creatine:
- Provides extra energy to your muscles during workout
- Gives you a energy boost through ATP regeneration
- You can gain weight, size, and strength

What is Tricreatine Malate?
Tricreatine Malate is a highly soluble creatine salt that provides much greater increase in creatine bioavailability over regular creatine monohydrate. This compound is creatine bound to malic acid. Malic acid is a naturally occurring kreb cycle intermediate, meaning that malic acid plays a crucial role in our natural energy producing cycle.
Malic acid coupled with the effect of creatine as in Tricreatine Malate offers much greater ATP production over conventional creatine monohydrate. Additionally this creatine salt will not make you hold subcutaneous water like creatine monohydrate would since there is no water molecule in its chemical structure. All hydration will occur in the muscle cell. Also, Tricreatine Malate does not cause stomach discomfort and does not need to be loaded.

Are there adverse side effects of using creatine?
No studies have show creatine to have any serious adverse side effects. However, some studies have show atheletes to experience gas, bloating, and diarreah problems with over using creatine. This problem went away after lowering the amount of intake. No long term side effects of creatine have been shown either. Positive effects include more energy, strength, and weight gain.
I heard that creatine is unstable in solution, is this true?
Yes, it's true that creatine is unstable in solution. It eventually degrades to become creatinine, a useless substance to your muscles. So it's recommended that you shouldn't leave your creatine dissolved in water or juice for too long (no longer than 6 to 8 hours).

What are the benefits of creatine supplements?
Supplementing creatine will greatly enhance your energy during workouts. The resulting benefits of creatine include:
- More energy during workouts due to ATP regeneration
- Enhanced strength during workouts
- Less dependence on glycolysis - reducing lactic acid
- Quick weight gain in just weeks (if you're new to creatine)
How supplementing creatine can benefit your workouts
ATP is the main fuel for your muscle contractions, and this is achieved by the ATP releasing a phosphate and becoming an ADP. With extra creatine in your muscles, you regenerate ATP through the creatine release its phosphate which combines with the ADP to form ATP.
This ATP regeneration keeps your body from relying on glycolysis, which is process where lactic acid is built up during your workout. The benefit of this is clear: the reduced lactic acid allows you to workout longer and harder, thus maximizing every muscle's workout, and allows you to gain more muscle, strength and size. Another benefit of creatine supplements is you won't feel tired as easily during workouts.
