Now Foods Taurine 500 mg (100 Capsules)

NOW Taurine is a free-form amino acid that participates in a variety of metabolic processes. Taurine is a neurotransmitter, a neuromodulator and is involved in glucose uptake. It is found in meats, fish, milk and eggs, but not in vegetable proteins.

Now Foods Taurine 500 mg:

  • Plays an important part in keeping the brain and heart healthy
  • Known to provide support for neurotransmitters and to have a protective effect on the brain
  • Some studies have shown that taking taurine supplements can help strengthen the heart muscles, and thus regulate blood pressure and prevent heart failure and arrhythmias
  • Taurine helps move potassium, magnesium, and sodium, three nutrients that are key to brain and heart function, into the cell membranes
  • Plays important role in muscle maintenance.

Taurine does not exist in the L- or d- form, unlike most other amino acids, even though many label it as L-Taurine (technically, it does not have a chiral center). Pure Taurine comes in only one form.

How amino acids are helpful for me?
Amino acids are building blocks of protein and the construction material of virtually all your body's lean mass. Amino acids are critical to our body's proper functioning. Their role includes repairing muscles, organs, nails, hair, skin, ligaments and glands.
What Is The Difference Between Essential and Non-Essential Amino Acids?

Essential amino acids cannot be made by the body. You must get them from complete protein foods or combinations of incomplete vegetable foods. There are 9 essential amino acids: histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, tryptophan, and valine. Your body can make non-essential amino acids by itself from vitamins and other amino acids.

The term "non-essential" can be misleading since all amino acids are essential for proper metabolism and certain non-essential amino acids, such as glutamine, become very essential. The 13 non-essential amino acids are alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cysteine, cystine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, hydroxyproline, proline, serine, & tyrosine.

Why do I need branched chain amino acids?

Branched chain amino acids are essential for bodybuilders. Bodybuilders are required to workout on daily basis. The essential branched chain amino acids (BCAA's) are of special importance for athletes because they are metabolized in the muscle, rather than in the liver. After digestion once protein is broken down into individual amino acids these aminos can either be used to build new proteins or be burned as fuel to produce energy.

Glutamine, an amino acid, provides energy for workouts. Branched chain amino acids help you recover after exercise. They can reduce workout related injuries and provide you more energy for workout and all daylong.

What is N.A.G?

N.A.G (N-Acetyl-L-Glutamine) is the acetylated version of the most abundant amino acid found in skeletal muscle tissue...glutamine. N.A.G is more stable and metabolically efficient at delivering glutamines biological effects over conventional Glutamine or Glutamine Peptides. N.A.G will play a role in increasing muscle volume, glycogen storage, growth hormone production, and it will also positively affect ones own immune system function.

What is Micronized Taurine? What are the benefits of it?

Micronized Taurine is the 2nd most abundant amino acid found in skeletal muscle. Taurine and sulfur are considered to be factors necessary for the control of many biochemical changes that take place in the aging process. It was also found to aid in the clearing of free radical wastes.

Micronized Taurine aids the movement of potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium in and out of cells and thus helps generate nerve impulses. It has also been shown to aid in cardiovascular health.

What is Glutamic Acid?
Glutamic Acid is basically a non-essential amino acid. It is important in the metabolism of sugars and fats, aids in the transportation of potassium into the spinal fluid and also in muscular dystrophy.
What are Whey Peptides?

Whey Peptides are powerful isolates of amino acids derived from much longer whole whey protein molecules. Whey Peptides improves overall endocrine hormone response, increases state of immune function, Improves gastrointestinal health and Increases muscle growth rates.
