Jarrow Mega PC-35 (Lecithin) is an advanced emulsifier helps support brain function. Mega PC-35 (lecithin) contains soybean lecithin, concentrated
to the level of 35% PC (phosphatidylcholine).
Phosphatidylcholine (lecithin) is an excellent source of choline, a B vitamin. PC is a main component of cell membranes and is critical for brain and liver function. In the brain, PC is the precursor to acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter involved in cognition. In digestion, PC is part of the bile complex that emulsifies fats to facilitate absorption.
Lecithin is an integral part of cell membranes, and can be totally metabolized, so it is virtually non-toxic to humans. Other emulsifiers can only be excreted via the kidneys. Lecithin is used commercially in substances requiring a natural emulsifier and/or lubricant, from pharmaceuticals to protective coverings. For example, lecithin is the emulsifier that keeps cocoa and cocoa butter in a candy bar from separating.
Ingredient Details:Softgel consists of gelatin, glycerin and water. Keep in a cool, dry, dark place. May be refrigerated, but keep lid tightly sealed.
