Jarro-Dophilus EPS is a probiotic supplement. It is basically Stable-Dophilus enhanced probiotic system. It is room temperature stable, but preferably refrigerate to safeguard product from heat. Blister packaging each capsule provides extra protection to the bacteria against moisture and oxygen.
Probiotics are live microorganisms, in most cases bacteria, that are similar to beneficial microorganisms found in the human gut. They are also called "friendly bacteria" or "good bacteria.".
Lactobacillus is the most commonly used probiotic, or "friendly" bacteria. Such healthy bacteria inhabit the intestines and vagina and protect against the entrance and proliferation of "bad" organisms that can cause disease. It also produces lactase, the enzyme that breaks down milk sugar (lactose) into simple sugars. People who are lactose intolerant do not produce this enzyme. For this reason, Lactobacillus supplements may be beneficial for these individuals.
Bifidobacteria longum BB536 (morinaga strain) has been shown to colonize , stimulate immune response and suppress intestinal pathogens.
Lactococcus is a lactic acid bacterial genus that is commonly used in the dairy industry in the manufacture of fermented dairy products like cheeses. It help reduce spoilage caused by undesirable bacteria in cultured dairy products.
Pediococcus is a specific strain of lactic acid-producing bacteria helping to keep a proper balance of microflora in the digestive system.
L.rhamnosus R0011 is a unique, high producer of polysaccharides, which facilitate colonization and stimulate intestinal immune response.
Lactobacillus casei is found in the human intestine and mouth. It is known to improve digestion and reduce milk intolerance and constipation.
Ingredient Details:Potato Starch, magnesium stearate and ascorbic acid. Gluten Free.
Contains Soy (less than 0.1%) and Milk (casein, less than 0.01%).
Vegetarian capsule consists of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. Water-based enteric coating consists of hydroxypropyl methycllulose, magnesium silicate, methacrylate copolymer.
Suggested Use:Take 1 to 2 capsules per day, preferably on an empty stomach, though it may be also taken with food, or as directed by your qualified health consultant.
