Molecular distillation is a purification process designed to remove toxic trace elements, such as PCBs. Eskimo-3 Fish Oil is purified through a multi-step proprietary process that involves molecular distillation. The process removes toxins and heavy metals from the whole oil while preserving the Omega-3 fatty acids and other beneficial compounds. When the processing is complete, the fish oil is analyzed to ensure purity. Eskimo-3 Fish Oil contains no detectable heavy metals including mercury, lead, cadmium, or copper.
Is Eskimo-3 Fish Oil chemically modified to have increased DHA and EPA?
No. There are two types of fish oil supplements, natural or concentrated. The concentrated oils are always chemically modified to increase their Omega-3 fatty acid content. If a fish oil supplement label claims that the product contains more than 40% Omega-3 fatty acids, it is always chemically modified and subject to instability.
