Country Life Biotin - A "yeast free" hi-potency biotin.  Biotin is one of eight essential vitamins that consist of the B-complex. Like all of the members of the B-complex, biotin plays a significant role in energy metabolism, acting as a coenzyme in chemical reactions that produce energy.

Biotin for Energy: Biotin functions in this energy- producing process as a carrier of carbon dioxide. The process by which energy is created in the body is known as the TCA cycle. As a coenzyme, biotin is instrumental in keeping the TCA cycle going. Additionally, biotin is a major player in fat synthesis, amino acid metabolism and the creation of glycogen, the body’s short-term energy supply that is stored in muscle.

Biotin for Weight Loss: Given that biotin is essential in converting carbohydrates, fats and proteins to energy, it may be a useful aid to weight loss. Biotin may also be of benefit to diabetics because it is able to lower blood sugar levels and metabolize carbohydrates.
