Country Life Acetyl L-Carnitine Vegi Caps 500mg (60 caps)
Country Life Acetyl L-Carnitine Vegi Capsules provide Acetyl-L-Carnitine (acetyl l carnitine), which is a more bioavailable form of the amino acid L-Carnitine. Acetyl l carnitine is also the most easily assimilated and the most stable form of carnitine. As an antioxidant, acetyl l carnitine can protect neurons from damage caused by super oxide radicals. Acetyl L-Carnitine assists in the fat burning process and is involved in many metabolic functions. Studies at U.C. Berkeley by Dr. Bruce Ames have shown that acetyl l carnitine has enormous benefits with respect to the functioning of brain and memory, which play an important role in the process of aging. Acetyl L-Carnitine regulates the aging process by slowing down the damage to mitochondrial DNA which is said to be the principal factor in the process of aging
Benefits of Acetyl L-Carnitine:
- Plays an important role in energy production
- Helps in weight by fat burning (see next point)
- Transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondra to metablize to generate energy
- Used to support all bodily functions that have a high-energy demand
- Helps slowing down the effects of aging
- Enhances cellular energy in the brain
- May help decreasing symptoms of depression
- Improves mental performance
- Helps prevent cataracts
Vegetarians (those who eat little to no meats) will benefit from supplementation of Acetyl L-Carnitine. Though deficiencies are exceptional, cramping muscle fatigue are some signs of possible Carnitine deficiency.
Country Life Acetyl L-Carnitine Vegi Capsules also provide 10 mg of Vitamin B6 each serving. Vitamin B6 is primarily involved in protein metabolism, but also functions, to a lesser degree, in carbohydrate and fat metabolism. Vitamin B6, also called pyridoxine, pyridoxamine, and pyridoxal, is essential for the functioning of many enzymes inside our bodies. Since it is a co-factor to many enzymes, Vitamin B6 is required for many of them to work. Because of this, Vitamin B-6 plays a role in a wide variety of metabolic reactions, it is recommended (although not always accurately) for a diverse spectrum of conditions, such as decreased inflammation, arthritis relief, improved mood and nervous system functioning, increased immunity, among others.
What Is L-Carnitine? L carnitine is derived from the lysine and methionine amino acids. It is mainly synthesized in the liver and the kidneys, and must be transported for use to other tissues in the body. It is found in highest concentration in tissues that use fatty acids as the main dietary fuel, such as the skeletal and cardiac muscles. One of the key uses of Country Life Acetyl L-Carnitine Vegi Capsules is for fatty acid oxidation - helping users body fat burning. Fatty acids are one the key energy sources the body uses, and oxidation is the process by which they're broken down to create energy. The fatty acids cannot penetrate the inner mitochondia membrane (where they are burned for energy), and the key role for L-Carnitine is to trasport fatty acids accross the mitochondra membrane to allocate for oxidation of the fats.

How amino acids are helpful for me?
Amino acids are building blocks of protein and the construction material of virtually all your body's lean mass. Amino acids are critical to our body's proper functioning. Their role includes repairing muscles, organs, nails, hair, skin, ligaments and glands.

What Is The Difference Between Essential and Non-Essential Amino Acids?
Essential amino acids cannot be made by the body. You must get them from complete protein foods or combinations of incomplete vegetable foods. There are 9 essential amino acids: histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, tryptophan, and valine. Your body can make non-essential amino acids by itself from vitamins and other amino acids.
The term "non-essential" can be misleading since all amino acids are essential for proper metabolism and certain non-essential amino acids, such as glutamine, become very essential. The 13 non-essential amino acids are alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cysteine, cystine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, hydroxyproline, proline, serine, & tyrosine.

Why do I need branched chain amino acids?
Branched chain amino acids are essential for bodybuilders. Bodybuilders are required to workout on daily basis. The essential branched chain amino acids (BCAA's) are of special importance for athletes because they are metabolized in the muscle, rather than in the liver. After digestion once protein is broken down into individual amino acids these aminos can either be used to build new proteins or be burned as fuel to produce energy.
Glutamine, an amino acid, provides energy for workouts. Branched chain amino acids help you recover after exercise. They can reduce workout related injuries and provide you more energy for workout and all daylong.

What is N.A.G?
N.A.G (N-Acetyl-L-Glutamine) is the acetylated version of the most abundant amino acid found in skeletal muscle tissue...glutamine. N.A.G is more stable and metabolically efficient at delivering glutamines biological effects over conventional Glutamine or Glutamine Peptides. N.A.G will play a role in increasing muscle volume, glycogen storage, growth hormone production, and it will also positively affect ones own immune system function.
