Beverly International Beverly Ultimate Muscle Vanilla 2lbs
Supports Muscle Growth and Fat Loss!
Beverly’s Ultimate Muscle Protein is packed with all the essential amino acids such as valine, leucine and isoleucine. Furthermore, Ultimate Muscle Protein contains the conditionally essential amino acids such as arginine and glutamine; both of which are important for immune support and muscle protein metabolism.
Ultimate Muscle Protein tastes great and mixes easily. It’s also highly versatile. Treat yourself by putting a scoop on your favorite cold or hot cereal, or simply mix it with milk or water. Your muscles will be rewarded with a protein-building stream of amino acids for hours afterwards.
Here is some information on what the diffrent Amino Acids do?
Valine is an amino acid obtained by hydrolysis of proteins and was first isolated by the German chemist Emil Fischer in 1901 from casein and is not only an essential amino acid but is also a branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) (the others are isoleucine and leucine) found in high concentration in the muscles.
It has a stimulating effect and is needed for muscle metabolism, repair and growth of tissue and maintaining the nitrogen balance in the body.
Since it is a branched-chain amino acid (BCAA), it can be used as an energy source in the muscles, and in doing so preserves the use of glucose
Valine is often used by bodybuilders, (in conjunction with leucine and isoleucine), to promote muscle growth, tissue repair and energizer. Studies have shown that these three substances might be useful in restoring muscle mass in people with liver disease, injuries, or who have undergone surgery.
Leucine is an essential amino acid, which cannot be manufactured in the body and is part of the three branched-chain-amino-acids. Supplements and protein powders that contain leucine are used extensively by bodybuilders and other athletes to promote muscle recovery, although it has not produced significant changes in body composition.
Leucine helps with the regulation of blood-sugar levels, the growth and repair of muscle tissue (such as bones, skin and muscles), growth hormone production, wound healing as well as energy regulation. It can assist to prevent the breakdown of muscle proteins that sometimes occur after trauma or severe stress. It may also be beneficial for individuals with phenylketonuria - a condition in which the body cannot metabolize the amino acid phenylalanine.
Arginine is a vitally important amino acid that has been studied for more than fifty years. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, and protein is the building block of all living cells. The greatest portion of human body weight, after water, is protein. On the cellular level, the principal function of DNA is to provide the "blueprints" for production of hundreds of different proteins, each constructed from unique sequences of amino acids that are held together by peptide bonds.
Arginine has been linked to enhanced immunity, the release of the Human Growth Hormone (HGH), greater muscle mass, rapid healing from injury, increased sexual potency, and helping to reverse atherosclerosis.
Why is Arginine used for Body Building? More than fifty research studies reportedly support the value of arginine supplementation for athletes. Arginine is considered to be key to efficient muscle metabolism because of its role in the transport, storage, and elimination of nitrogen. Creatine is derived from arginine, as are guanidophosphate and phosphoarginine, all of which have roles in muscle metabolism.
Glutamine is highly in demand throughout the body. It is used in the gut and immune system extensively to maintain optimal performance. 60% of free-form amino acids floating in skeletal muscles is L-glutamine. L-glutamine plays a very important role in protein metabolism, and it appears to be a very important nutrient for body builders. When supplemented, it may help body builders reduce the amount of muscle deterioration that occurs because other tissues that need glutamine will not rob the glutamine stored in the muscle cells.
Research shows that after intensely working out, glutamine levels in the body are reduced by as much as 50%. Since the body relies on glutamine as cellular fuel for the immune system, scientific studies have shown that glutamine supplementation can minimize the breakdown of muscle tissue and improve protein metabolism. Its effects on replenishing the body after stress or trauma have been shown in Europe where it is commonly given to patients in hospitals. Glutamine's cell-volumizing effects have also been shown in several studies. No conclusive studies have been done to evaluate the effects of L-glutamine supplementation on weight-training adults; however, a recent study showed up to a 400% increase in growth-hormone levels when as little as 2 grams of free-form L-glutamine supplement was consumed!
