History Of Coral Calcium

Coral Calcium what a drug. There is much “mystery” surrounding the history of Coral Calcium. Some of the dates involved don’t actually “stack-up” too well, but it has a certain romanticism to it...so let’s take a closer look at the history anyway.
Oldest Record Of Coral Calcium In the 16th century, the Arabs are supposed to have documented the first medicinal use of Coral Calcium. The oldest pharmacy in Spain dates back to 1685. It is now a museum and apparently displays a container with the inscription “Coral stone to purify the blood”.
Supposed To Be Evidence This is supposed to be evidence that our predessors understood
the benefit of Coral Calcium and that it's current success should not be a surprise to us. In 1979 a British journalist from the Guinness Book of Records visited the islands of Okinawa, a prefecture of Japan to interview a man they believed to be the worlds oldest.
Very Old Age
He was supposed to be 115 years old and in remarkable good health. Upon making further inquiries...the journalist established that there were many people over the age of 100 (centenarians) living in the islands and that most of this longevity could be attributed to the water these people drank.
Coral In The Water Coral Calcium that was in the water was supposedly heavily impregnated with
calcium from coral. This made it much more alkaline than water found in other parts of the world . The suggestion by some of the promoters of Coral Calcium is that a body which is heavily alkaline is much more likely to be able to maintain its good health than one which is pH neutral or acidic. This suggestion is refuted by the orthodox medical fraternity and looked upon as sensationalism.
Reasons For Longevity In the mid 70’s, with worldwide interest in this longevity phenomenon increasing, a team of experts from various universities in Japan and the USA began a long term study of the Okinawan people to try and identify the reasons for their longevity.
The Okinawan Centenarian Study “The Okinawan Centenarian Study” (OCS) is a population-based study of hundred-year-olds (centenarians) and other elderly in Okinawa, Japan. The study began in 1976, after the Japan Ministry of Health and Welfare confirmed initial reports of outstanding health and long life in Okinawa through validation of birth certificates and other statistical data.
Coral Calcium Increases Age Since then this research group has investigated over 600 centenarians to uncover clues to their outstanding health and long lives. Studies have concentrated on the genetics, diets, exercise habits, and psychospiritual beliefs Elderly Okinawans have among the lowest mortality rates in the world from a multitude of chronic diseases of aging and as a result enjoy not only what may be the world's longest life expectancy but the world's longest health expectancy.
Centenarians Centenarians, in particular, have a history of aging slowly and delaying or sometimes escaping the chronic diseases of aging including dementia, cardiovascular disease (coronary heart disease and stroke) and cancer. The goal of the Okinawa Centenarian Study is to uncover the genetic and lifestyle factors responsible for this remarkable successful aging phenomenon for the betterment of the health and lives of all people.
Coral Calcium Research Coral Calcium research goes a long way, in the Okinawa Centenarian Study (OCS) is a population-based study of hundred-year-olds (centenarians) and other elderly in Okinawa, Japan. The study began in 1976, after the Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare confirmed initial reports of outstanding health and long life in Okinawa through validation of birth certificates and other statistical data.
Extraordinarily Healthy Since then our research group has investigated over 600 centenarians to uncover clues to their outstanding health and long lives. Studies have concentrated on the genetics, diets, exercise habits, and psychospiritual beliefs and practices of the Okinawan elders. When Dr. Suzuki, the Principal Investigator of the OCS, first began his studies, he found an unusual number of centenarians to be in extraordinarily healthy shape.
Population Life Expectancy They were lean, youthful-looking, energetic, and had remarkably low rates of heart disease and cancer-even stomach cancer, which claimed many mainland Japanese. And they enjoyed the longest life expectancy in the world. By 1995, according to Japan Ministry of Health and Welfare life tables, Okinawan life expectancy had even surpassed the absolute limits of population life expectancy estimated by the Japan Population Research Institute and many biodemographers.
Preventing Fractures? Research from recent calcium studies has shown that too much calcium may not be helpful for preventing fractures associated with osteoporosis and may in fact be linked to increased odds of developing prostate cancer in men. The research from seven long-term prospective studies done in Europe and the US has not shown any important reduction in risk of fractures with increasing calcium intake.
