Obesity as well as undernourishment is a common occurrence in America today. The Standard American Diet (SAD) has lost it and so has the rest of the world. High-calorie processed foods make up most of the meals consumed in majority of the households on a daily basis despite the fact that they lack the essential nutrients.

Deprived of essential nutrients, people still work more, consume junk food, sleep less and take prescription drugs. No wonder many easily fall sick, obese, lazy and in most cases are prone to chronic as well as degenerative health hazards.

Nutrition, just as air, is a basic necessity of life. It is the corner stone for good health as well as development. The food we eat not only sustains life but also reflects our social, cultural, as well as traditional beliefs. Optimal nutritional status can be achieved by eating balanced and healthy foods.

Lack of the necessary nutrients in ones diet leads to an unhealthy lifestyle that is closely associated with medical conditions that affect vitality, immunity as well as the overall well-being of an individual. The core nutrition essentials establish a solid foundation for your life, nourish a healthy body, provide resources for building and repairing body tissues and acts as fuel for your daily activities. Therefore one has to choose his food wisely to avoid being a victim of malnutrition
