What goes on in Vegas didn't stay in Vegas! Over 2,000 distributors attended our Learn to Earn on Friday at the Venetian Hotel, taking copious notes, and took that knowledge home with them to share with their downline!
This had to be the BEST Learn To Earn (L2E) yet! The training began at 11:00 a.m. and lasted until nearly 6 P.M., with no scheduled breaks, yet the distributors stayed until the very end! The Orange Thunder Sticks we gave our attendees gave additional volume to the applause for our Speakers, and we saw them throughout the audience of the Corporate's Regional Event! All weekend long Distributors were flocking around Sherman and me, raving about the L2E!

Hats off to: Candy Webb who co-ordinated this event and was the moderator. She was FANTASTIC!! Candy is the ultimate professional wrapped up in the most charming woman! How blessed we are to have her as a friend!
Here is just a brief overview of what our Speakers had to say:
Jerry Kirstein was great and gave us some great tips on Prospecting and the art of listening! Listening IS an art, and far too many people talk past the sale. Listening intently allows you to know your Prospect's needs and expectations.
Molly Maxey sang the praises of "Big Mouthed Women!" and reminded us that the majority of people engaged in MLM are women! Molly also was very candid as she explained how she rose rapidly in the ranks of the pin levels, and how her check reached $10,000 a month! Molly is a veteran network marketer and she was proud of the high pin level that she reached, and yet, she was very surprised that Ron Otterstrom made a point of communicating with her letting her know that she was building her business wrong! Molly scoffed at his advice and continued to build her business by Streamlining (some call it Stacking) until suddenly her check dropped to $3,800! She was shocked, and as she began to study her organization she realized that Ron had given her excellent advice, and that she should have listened to him, stacking had destroyed her income! Molly has had to begin from scratch and rebuild her organization. It has been hard, but she is one strong and determined woman, and that's what it takes to pick up the pieces and have enough heart to begin again. Molly now realizes the importance and common sense of building wide.
Marlene Balingit, The One and Only Amazing Queen of the Road! If Sherman is the King of the Road, then Marlene surely is the Queen! Marlene has tapped into a great market, the Home Meetings. She has her new distributors commit to hosting a XanGo Home Party, where Marlene does the presentation and a tasting of the product. Marlene never leaves a home meeting without booking another party! She establishes momentum, and her downline follows her example.
Ron Brice, The Master of Building Wide and Keeping Volume up Close making his distributorship one of the most Lucrative in the industry! He Builds it Right! Ron explains the benefits and brilliance of XanGo's marketing plan, and the importance of building with integrity.
Cindy Samuelson, Unique and Experienced Motivational Speaker who really knows how to build a successful MLM distributorship from a Woman's perspective! Cindy talked about finding "Five Fabulous Friends" and inviting them to become a part of her Team. They, in turn, find Five Fabulous Friends of their own, etc., etc.. Cindy wowed the audience as she invited her Five Fab Friends up to the stage, and they invited their Five Fab Friends to come forward, and THEIR Five Fab Friends....by this time we were worried that the stage wouldn't be able to hold all of the people! Pretty soon the stage and the front of the room was filled with Cindy's Fabulous Friends! A Great Visual to actually see what a growing downline looks like.
Tommy Johnson and Pat Petrini, Teach you the most often over-looked, yet crucial, part of building a Successful Organization! Follow up and Follow Through and Working Depth. These are two young men who have done an incredible job building their business. Tommy just became a 200K! They spoke of the importance of following through with their Prospects and new Distributors, how to work with their downline and build a team that works together. They spoke of how they worked with people regardless of how many levels down they were from them because they know that everyone's production is a part of the Global Bonus and that working in depth is a WIN, WIN, WIN situation for everyone.
Bob Schmidt, a Living Legend who has a history of Success because he Lives what he Teaches, and that equals SUCCESS! He taught the importance of the Foundation you must have if you are to realize your full potential! Bob is big on self-discipline and its importance in the building of a successful network marketing organization. Self discipline is all about choices. You can choose to watch t.v., or you can choose to attend you local XanGo meetings (with a prospect!). The choice is yours, and so is the result of your choice. He gave specific questions you need to ask your Prospect, such as what do they want to receive by becoming a XanGo distributor? What are their goals? What is the level of their commitment? How much time are they planning on devoting to building their organization? Are they serious business builders or do they merely want to get the XanGo at a discount for their own personal use? Once you know what they want from XanGo, you can then help them to receive it.
Estela Salinas - Mexico's Outstanding Leader who is shattering records South of the Border! This 200K is one of the Fastest Rising Stars Sherman and I have ever seen in our 25 years in the network marketing industry! Estela is such a charming woman!! Her background as a psychologist has been helpful in her meteoric rise to 200K! When Estela signs up a new Distributor she asks, "Do you want to sign up for four case autoship, or two cases?" Nearly everyone in her downline is on at least a two-case autoship! Two years ago, shortly after she became a XanGo distributor, Estela attended a Learn to Earn, and it so inspired her that it changed her life forever, and she has become the undisputed Leader in Mexico!
Dr. Amod Tootla graced our stage and imparted his medical/scientific knowledge about the benefits of the mangosteen and the importance of its abundant nutrients! Dr. Tootla gave us a good lesson in how the human body works and the important part nutrients and exercise play in having a healthy mind and body. Dr. Tootla is always shares new and unique medical/scientific information with his audiences!
Keynote Speaker:
Brian Shul, a True Survivor who overcame unimaginable odds. It was a miracle that Brian Shul, pilot whose plane was shot down during the Vietnam conflict, survived the crash, and it was yet another miracle that he was able to overcome his massive injuries and be able to fly again. But to Brian Shul, the biggest miracle was when he passed an Astronaut's rigorous physical to fly the SR-71. Less than one hundred Air Force flight crews ever flew missions in the SR-71, the fastest plane in the world. His presentation was touching, heart-rending, humorous, highly informative, and incredibly inspirational. Brian says, "I am not a motivator. No one can motivate someone else. I don't motivate, I strive to inspire others." I have to admit that I'm not very knowledgable about air planes and yet, after his presentation, I could almost feel the freedom and awe he and his fellow pilots experienced as they flew the world's fastest recon plane. His presentation was accompanied by photos of this amazing air plane, the view from the cockpit at the shrinking and glorious world that lay below the crew as they flew higher and higher. At the conclusion, Brian showed us a movie of the SR-71, its engines roaring proudly, and in spite of its enormous size, lifting gracefully off of the tarmack up into the air. Hardly a dry eye in the house as our Key Note Speaker ended his presentation.
Brian is now sharing his passion for photography and writing with the world. We purchased his two books, "The Untouchables, Mission Accomplished" and "Sled Driver. Flying The World's Fastest Jet" (this is a signed limited edition book and we were fortunate to be able to buy one while they were still available!) He tells the story of his Vietnam experience, his being shot down, his injuries, recovery and triumph, accompanied by his breathtaking photos.

As our Speakers were making their presentations, I noticed that they had many things in common:
They shared a love of the truth; integrity and character mean a great deal to them.
They are among the top income earners in XanGo.
They stand out as Leaders, not through self-promotion, but because they earned respect and people are naturally drawn to them because of their honesty and trustworthiness.
They come without "hype" - they are "real", and they keep it real.
They are successful because they don't sell XanGo by using "fear" as a sales tool, such as the old, offensive and worn-out "fear of loss" tactic that less than reputable used-car salesmen used decades ago, and some throw-backs still use. They teach how to invite happy people into a becoming a part of a joyful and rewarding experience.
They sell the benefits of XanGo, the joy of financial freedom, the hope of dreams becoming reality.
I remember thirty+ years ago when I took my real estate course, our instructor was big on selling by "fear of loss" technique, and I didn't like it then. It always made me feel the people who sell their wares that way were less than honest and exploited people in order to make the sale. Instead, I listened to the buyer, took a real interest in what they wanted and needed, and as a result, I, as a mere rookie, outsold even the old-timers in the company that I was involved with. I worked with integrity and never compromised my honesty. Fear of loss is such an old worn-out and insulting method of selling, thank goodness none of our Speakers employed that tired, worn-out technique! I wouldn't like it if someone pulled that on me, and I'll bet you wouldn't either!

Great Downline, Great Friends, Great Company!
Sherman and I felt that this was one of XanGo's BEST Regionals! From the elegant dinner on Friday evening, until the moment that the XanGo Mercedes was given away, XanGo prepared a phenomenal and memorable event! The XanGo Staff and Founders outdid themselves as they thrilled the audience with great speakers, recognition and visuals. If you have never been to a XanGo Regional, you really should go. This is your company and you are building your own business, and you need to be a part of these spectacular events, you will be enormously inspired to build a fantastic downline organization for yourself and your family!
After the Regional there were many parties to attend! We want to thank Tim and Sharon Filuk for inviting us to their party with their amazing downline. We are so proud to call Tim and Sharon not only our downline, but two of our closest friends. In case you didn't know, it is Tim and Sharon who co-ordinate our Recognition Events at Convention for our downline. Last year they co-ordinated the elegant dinner party that we had for our downline organization who reached 20K and above. Space was limited so it was first-come, first-served. We are going to have another Elegant Recognition Dinner for our 20Ks and above this year, too. I'll be giving you more information. If you haven't reached 20K yet, this is a great reason to strive to achieve that pin level. But build it right, don't manipulate the marketing plan just to get to a higher pin level, that would be not only an empty victory, but a very disappointing one, also.
Ed Johnson hosted a great luau! Yes, right in the heart of Las Vegas, there was a Hawaiian Luau with Hawaiian Dancers and all of the trappings! What fun!
Finally, I was all tuckered out and had to get some sleep, so I missed some of the parties. I guess I'm getting old after all.
Sunday was a terrific day and we had breakfast with Candy Webb and her group! Wow! What an impressive bunch! Leaders galore emerging amongst them.
That evening, Sherman and I took my good buddy, Diana Greiner, with us to see the Phantom of the Opera playing at the Venetian! 'Lo and behold, there was Anton Garrity, his wife Dustin, and their three terrific children sitting close by! Afterward we all went to dinner, and I haven't seen many children as well-behaved and bright as the Garrity children!
Sherman and I took home a host of great memories!

Attitude
The great preacher Charles H. Spurgeon once emphasized to a preaching class that a speaker's facial expressions should harmonize with the sermon.
He suggested that "when you speak of Heaven, let your face light up, let it be irradiated with a heavenly gleam, let your eyes shine with reflected glory.
But when you speak of hell, well, then your ordinary face will do."
While we may think it fake to "force" an attitude of cheerfulness or a facial expression, such as a smile,
scientific documentation has proved that sustaining a cheerful expression actually uses less muscle power than maintaining a frown.
Researchers also note that an optimistic, upbeat attitude can more easily defuse pressure and stress than an attitude of pessimism.
